What is Gorilla Productions?

  • Gorilla Productions is a unique concert productions company that specializes in working with and developing unsigned talent across the country.
  • Taking off in 2006, Gorilla Productions now promotes concerts in over 85 different clubs in over 65 US Cities. We staff over 15 full time employees and approximately 100 event coordinators. In 2008, Gorilla Productions added a band management division and a developmental label, Rock X Records.
  • Gorilla Productions was created to fill a hole in the market place. In every city there are many bands that do not know how to get shows. Similarly, in every city there are also many clubs that are too busy or do not know how to promote successful local shows. Gorilla Productions events teach and empower local artists to promote themselves. It is through this process that we are able to fulfill both the venue’s and the band’s needs.
  • Dan Cull and John Michalak have over 25 years experience promoting concerts, managing bands, publishing entertainment magazines, running/owning concert clubs, and as performing artists. Dan and John have booked thousands of nation acts over the years including My Chemical Romance, Jay-Z, Fall Out Boy, System of a Down, Creed, Kid Rock, Godsmack, Good Charlotte, Incubus, The Killers, The Darkness, The Donnas and more.

What are the benefits of working with Gorilla Productions?

  • Relationships with all the top agents, management companies and record labels.
    • These relationships have helped Dallas natives, Losa get a deal with Metal Blade Records and Cleveland’s Salt the Wound with Rotten Records. Numerous others have also had offers on the table.
    • Also due to these relationships, Nicholas Megalis has not only toured the US, but he has opened for NIN in Cleveland and performed in the 2009 Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans.  Cleveland hip hop group, Iphonic, has had shows with Swayze, B.O.B., Chip Tha Ripper, and Kid Cudi.  And Rotten Records, Karen Page, has secured a spot on the TKO booking agency roster.
  • Over 15 full-time staff members booking and promoting our shows each week! And, approximately 100 part-time street team staff members, event coordinators working in over 65 cities nationwide.
  • Several music festivals in selected cities occur each year. A&R reps are flown in for the festivals to listen to the bands that have worked hard and developed a relationship with Gorilla.
  • Exceptional promotional and networking skills that allow Gorilla Productions to help bands perform, make connections and expand their fan base in markets outside of their hometown.
